Welcome to the Versaclimber Triple World Record Attempt Gallery
Twelve members of Fusion Gym in Bude have just
completed a 24 hour marathon on a Versaclimber stepping and climbing machine.
The team consisted of Kelvin Turner, Nathan Carter, Natasha Jones, Sandra Heard,
Bridgett Funnell, Gerri Sloman, Sarah Ruscombe King, Jack Penfound, Frank Green,
Jim Connelly Webster,Victoria Brown and Gary Carter.
Each of the twelve took it in turns to climb for 5 minutes over the 24 hour
period.
Between them they climbed 210,886ft averaging an astonishing 146ft per minute,
a new world record.
Kelvin Turner broke two individual world records for the half hour and hour
climbs with 4,161ft and 8,036ft respectively whilst carrying a 40lb backpack!
